The Man got laid off today. The above is my mantra for the foreseeable future. It’s helped me get through tough times before, and one way or another, this time will be no different.
One of the hardest parts to adjust to is the lack of laptop, because the one we’ve been using was company-owned. No more evening blogging in the livingroom. No more lounging on the couch vegging to videos. No de-stressing on a beautiful day like this by taking the ‘puter out to the lawn to fill out the unemployment forms, as one former coworker suggested. It’s very odd.
So if you’re in the Portland area, and have a spare laptop or techie job lying around, feel encouraged to drop me a line.
