Raising My Boychick does not have ads, at the moment. It does not have a tip jar. There are no subscription fees. And while in my fantasies, where the Boychick attends the ideal anti-kyriarchy preschool (affordable, diverse, mixed age, outdoor, where sexism and racism and ableism and homophobia and transphobia are explicitly exposed and opposed in a relaxed, supportive, and non-preachy way) and I sit down and do work every day, I am a much-published and highly-paid author… the truth is this is an unpaid gig for the moment. Which I’m not sure I dig.
My solution, for now? Amazon Wish List.
Reading gets me inspired, gets me writing. Like this blog? Buy me a book.
(The Doctor Who DVD set? OK, that’s not so much inspiration and as entertainment. But that’s necessary sometimes too.)

In my bathroom hangs a plaque with a picture of a yin yang and the word BALANCE. I can never get it to hang straight. This probably says something deep and meaningful about my life.
Hi,
I LOVE your blog. I run the preschool you describe.
Come check us out. I’d love to connect with you on Facebook- I’m Susan Poznyansky. We have an excellent Mountain Valley Community School facebook page- you can request to be a member.
Peace,
Susan
Hey Arwyn
Nice wish list. If I win the lottery I’ll try to remember to spread the good cheer. : ) In the meantime, sorry but my teenage boy needs braces and my partner and I are part-time workers, so no luxuries like gifts this month.
Keep up the good work blogging.
Cheers
Kay
