An explanation, and a disclaimer:
This glossary is my answer to the frequent requests I get to clarify my terms, or define words that are new to my readers. As such, this glossary reflects my opinions and my interpretations: this is not an authoritative source for feminist vocabulary, but I have attempted to be as accurate as possible, and to include references where applicable. It is also a work in progress: some listings have yet to be filled out, and I am frequently thinking up (or getting suggestions for) new entries to add.
On my readers’ request, I am trying out allowing comments on this page and the glossary posts. My hope is that comments are used to request clarifications, suggest corrections as necessary, or to offer intelligent debate. Please be aware, however, that while I welcome discussion and am open to new information, this is not a Wiki; definitions and descriptions will always reflect my own thoughts on the topic.
I reserve the right to remove any posts I find offensive, antagonistic, or just plain don’t wish to host. I also reserve the right to close the comments at any time, for any reason. I would like them to work out, however; please do not be afraid to dip your toes in.
Please use the comments in this post to request or suggest further glossary terms. Alternately, you can email me directly at arwyn at raisingmyboychick dot com.

Arwyn
In my bathroom hangs a plaque with a picture of a yin yang and the word BALANCE. I can never get it to hang straight. This probably says something deep and meaningful about my life.
Wow! What a ton of work that must have been and what a great resource.
