So here’s something I’ve discovered I won’t blog about: when it’s not my story to tell. When telling of my experience would reveal more than others are ready to share.
That was my weekend. This is the first time I’ve been at my computer for more than 5 minutes since Wednesday night.
Dear Record Number of Commenters: [...]
The Thirteenth Carnival of Feminists is up at Zero at the Bone, and wow is it worth checking out. It’s been up for two days, and I still haven’t read through it all yet. Chally is an amazing organizer, though, and has easily navigable categories, and concise descriptions to narrow in on the posts most [...]
If you follow me on Twitter, you’ve seen most of these. For those of you who don’t follow me on Twitter1, I highly recommend reading the following, if you haven’t already (most are not recent posts):
Feminist Parenting: Teaching History
I’ve never had any thought of telling her about [Elizabeth Cady] Stanton thru rose colored glasses. Far [...]
After several months of completely ignoring its existence, I’m trying to clean up my Google Reader: trim it down, shift it over, and make it reflect the blogs that I actually want to read, but don’t catch in my Twitter stream due to missed timing (or the author — gasp! — not tweeting). I am [...]
AKA I got nuthin’.
No, that’s not true: I have two amazingly kick-ass half-written posts, plus the usual host of knock-your-socks-off-if-I-ever-get-them-written post ideas. But actual publishable content?

The Fifth Carnival of Feminists has landed over at Zero at the Bone, home of the hard-working and super-fabulous Chally, who deserves a big round of applause and the personal service of her choice (too bad my arms don’t reach to Australia, I hear I’m not half bad at this massage thing) for putting it [...]
It may not exactly be a bad thing, considering a few days ago they wouldn’t shut the bleep up, and I was composing more posts than I could keep up with, composing posts while going about my day, composing posts while trying to parent my child, composing posts in the middle of praying — begging [...]
I blame American woman, who are all potentially mothers! by I, your cheating-on-you-with-another-blog-but-hey-I’m-letting-you-know-about-it bloggess.
Featuring lines such as:
nope, it’s all because American cis women of childbearing age apparently scarf narcotics, nicotine, donuts, dope, and dirty, dirty dick willy-nilly.
Reader maria raves:
this post made me seethe with rage, but also laugh. because you rule.
Go, read, laugh, seethe!
(Never fear, [...]
No, I haven’t flipped my lid — OK, maybe I have, because the last thing I needed was another online time-suck. But no, I haven’t stopped blaming the kyriarchy in favor of blaming myself (well, not much anyway, but today was a hard day — or rather, tonight was an unfuckingbelievably hard night — and [...]
Commenting problems?
I’ve heard from a couple people that when they tried to comment on my latest post it failed to go through, which, among other things, makes me wonder for how many that’s been true from whom I HAVEN’T heard. Although obviously some comments at least are still getting through, and my spam queue certainly hasn’t [...]
